Who Qualifies?
Certified Type B and Licensed Type A home providers in Crawford, Marion, Morrow and Richland counties are eligible for our Child and Adult Care Food Program Services.  Also, these providers may not be under contract with any other sponsors of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (contracts run from October through September).

What is the Child & Adult Care Food Program?
The Child and Adult Care Food Program reimburses family child care providers for as many as two meals and one snack, or two snacks and one meal, per child, per day.   Rates of reimbursement are evaluated each year in July.  The United States Department of Agriculture meal pattern requirements must be met and all required paperwork must be completed in a timely manner. 

NUTRITIOUS FOOD
The Child and Adult Care Food Program helps make it possible for family child care providers to provide a variety of nutritious foods like fresh fruit and vegetables, high quality protein, fresh dairy products, whole grain and enriched breads and cereals, at an affordable cost.

FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDER TRAINING
The Child and Adult Care Food Program offers family child care providers training in nutrition for children, help in planning nutritious meals and snacks and many other useful topics.

NUTRITION FOR CHILDREN
The Child and Adult Care Food Program enables children to experience a variety of nutritious foods as well as encouraging healthy eating habits while promoting nutritional education for children.
The Child and Adult Care Food Program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture, and in Ohio, is administered by the Ohio Department of Education and sponsored by Action for Children.
